I love the light shining through the winter-bare trees, just before dusk
the
stark, strong lines of the Albert Bridge seen through the bare branches
the
fast-flowing River Thames which continues to thread through my life
and
the wonderful London parks, the lungs of this beautiful City.
Taken in Battersea Park, London, January 2014
I do love a winter walk ...
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed my tour.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and words:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful words and images of a winter's walk in one's physical space and spirited soul.

I enjoyed looking at each of your photos - definitely a foreign city, but each image so familiar because England is such a part of our national history/memory. Your January days look very much like ours here in the Pacific Northwest.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures
ReplyDeleteI want a visit to London! Soon . . .
ReplyDeleteA London winter walk by the Thames and in those parks would also suit me well.
ReplyDeleteO I do wish I could spend more time in London.
ReplyDeleteI will, I must, I will.
Countryside is all very well, but there is something about London by the river, or the Heath, or even the Westend.
It’s time I shifted myself.
Oh how I'd love to visit London. I suppose the next best thing is to see it through your loving eyes and lens. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteWinter light (so long as it is light, and not gloom!) is beautiful, isn't it. And the Thames is so photogenic!
ReplyDeleteLooking at your beautiful photographs made me homesick for London, I lived and loved there for 10 years as a student and afterwards and had such happy times!
ReplyDeleteLondon means so much to so many people. I love to visit and having 4 of our children living there means there are plenty of opportunities. Thank you for all the comments - much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos.
