Flu has invaded my life and confined me to my home, my room, sometimes (too often) just my bed. The good things are plenty of time to read, all the time in the world, and to sleep, and losing lots of weight before my son's imminent wedding .
The downside is worrying that I will not be well in time, this has gone of for so long now. I must be well, I must. I shall!
In the meantime, I just wanted to share my birthday flowers. Tulips are one of the best things about March birthdays, I think.
Hope you're feeling better soon -- Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was up and about for my birthday, but back to bed again now.
DeleteI'm sorry that you have been sick with the flu. Happy belated birthday and the tulips are beautiful. When is your son's wedding?
ReplyDeleteThey lift my heart every time I venture down to the kitchen. 10 days, but I have been ill now for four weeks and am getting worried!
DeleteHappy Birthday, what beautiful flowers. I do so hope you feel better soon, especially for your son's wedding. As you say though the only plus side is time to catch up on reading etc. xx
ReplyDeleteThey are. I forget how much I love spring flowers - we just need some spring sunshine too! Fingers crossed, but I am enjoying the time to read (and catch up with blogging!).
DeleteOh gosh - not long till the wedding now. I'm sure you will be feeling better in plenty of time xx
ReplyDeleteIt's coming round so quickly now. Very exciting and determined to be well and to be there x
Deleteflu seems to hang on and on this year. Hope you're feeling better soon. Love your flowers, belated Happy Birthday from me too.
ReplyDeleteThank you Molly. It's good to hear that it's not just me going into a decline. Nasty, horrible bug
DeleteGet well soon and belated Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteThank you Friko and I will x
DeleteLovely tulips. Trusting you will be feeling much better soon.
ReplyDeleteLove tulips and am determined to be better. Thanks Linda x
DeleteBelated birthday wishes. Your tulips are so cheerful. I hope you feel well again soon:)
ReplyDeleteHello Rosie. They are aren't they. Thanks for the good wishes.
ReplyDeleteOh how delightful to have such nice flowers on the table. They certainly cheer you up.
ReplyDeleteLots of vitamin C my dear and keep warm.
These colds today refuse to leave. My son has been coughing all winter . He runs in soccer and breaths cold air and of course they dress in little shorts and shirts for games . It doesn't help.
So I make lots of soup and he piles on the vitamin C.
It seems to be working.
Good Luck!!
Thanks for the advice - I am throwing everything at it! Yes, I remember the little shorts and shirts in the winter with my boys...
DeleteOh and by the way .
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Thank you!
DeleteBelated Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteTulips are one of my favourite flowers.
Sorry you've had flu, it's a terrible dose altogether.I had it, and it went on and on, i feel I still have dregs of it, but have mostly put it behind me.
I'm doing a Deepak Chopra Perfect Health meditation challenge at the moment- it's free if you sign up for it, only takes c 20 mins a day, maybe that would help?
Thank you Mimi and I do agree about tulips! It's been a month now and its back worse than ever at the moment. I have seen the doc and he says it takes as long as it takes and I am also talking to my homeopath - I have to get to this wedding if it kills me! I will look into the meditation challenge, so thanks for that advice xx
DeleteIt's not fair, is it?...to be ill as spring arrives. I hope you'll soon be well and out in the garden.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait, Pondside, to be out in my neglected garden! I am lying in bed at night thinking about all the preparation and dividing I was hoping to do this month, but all I can do is try and get better. It will all happen when the time is right. Thank you for the visit - you are all cheering me up no end.
DeleteHappy Birthday, Get Well Soon, Stay Warm, and Don't Think About Missing That Wedding!
ReplyDeleteExcellent advice. I will be there if it kills me - this is such a big thing.
DeleteHappy belated birthday, those tulips are stunning.;)
ReplyDeleteI am fighting a very nasty flue myself, honestly can not recall last time I was this sick. I think the flue virus has been really aggressive this year, and the cold spring we are having is certainly not helping.;)
Have a great weekend and I hope you will get better soon.;).;)
xoxo
Thanks Zuzana for the birthday wishes - I was feeling brighter that day, briefly and we had a nice lunch, but back to bed now. Everyone is saying how nasty the flu is this year and I too cannot remember ever having felt this ill for so long and I do think the long, hard, cold winter isn't helping at all. Hope you will be better soon, too x
DeleteHappy Belated Birthday and I hope you are feeling better before your son's wedding. My son got married last weekend and it was a wonderful, memorable occasion to celebrate family and love.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Slowly improving and wild horses would not keep me away from my boy's wedding! Glad you had a wonderful day last weekend at your son's wedding
DeleteAnd are you better yet?
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Minneapolis,
Pearl
Hello Pearl. Thank you for visiting from Minneapolis! I have improved over the last few days and am no longer totally comatose but it is very slow and the energy flatlines very quickly, so Saturday is going to be a big challenge, but I shall be there, whatever it takes!
Deleteflowers and bouquets may enhance the happiness as they are..Happy birthday!!!
ReplyDeleteHiii How are you feeling now???
